Issue 2/ SB5

http://ohiohousegop.blogspot.com/2011/10/column-from-rep-bill-hayes-keeping-good.html It goes to say that most employers lay off or fire the last ones they hired. Just goes to say that just cause your in a union your job is not protected if the company you work for cant pay you because of budget cuts. Would you  want to lose Teachers that are selected as Teacher of the Year or would you rather have one who is sub par as a teacher.  So I ask, would you rather be employed or unemployed because of budget cuts, yet most of you continue to oppose SB5 that will stop collective bargaining  rights, ok so instead of a union rep talking for you, it will be a politician, yet you don't approve of it, or you think it will hurt more than help. I look at it this way, I rather speak for myself rather than pay someone to speak for me. I think that all should be payed based of your performance rather than what the contract says. Would you want a Teacher to get the same amount you ...

The Bullying must stop

She's EMO ? You'd cut too, if you've been through what she has . She's ANOREXIC ? You'd be too, if everyone called you fat everyday. She's a WHORE ? She made one mistake that cost her, her reputation. She's a SHOW OFF ? Her parents abused her, & she's never heard of praise. She's LOUD ? She's invisible at home, & she wants to be heard. ... She's QUIET ? She's afraid to speak, because she's scared  to get made fun of. She's FAT ? She binges, because she misses her dead brother. She's a GEEK ? She wants to get into college, so she can support her poverty ridden family. She doesn't wear ABRECROMBIE ? Her parents have been out of work for months, clothes aren't her top priority if she can't even afford food. She's UGLY ? Tell me, what is the definition of beauty? * - Who are you to judge them? You know their name, not their story. Re-post if you're against bullying, if not keep on scrolling ... What goe...

Warren Buffett for President

Warren Buffett, "I could end the deficit in 5 minutes," he told CNBC.  "You just  pass a law that says that anytime there is a deficit of more than 3% of GDP, all sitting members of Congress are ineligible for re-election. The 26th amendment (granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds) took only 3 months & 8 days to be ratified! Why? Simple! The people demanded it. That was in 1971...before computers, e-mail, cell phones, etc. Of the 27 amendments to the Constitution, seven (7) took 1 year or less to become the law of the land...all because of public pressure. Warren Buffet is asking each addressee to forward this email to a minimum of twenty people on their address list; in turn ask each of those to do likewise. In three days, most people in The United St...

Message from President Obama

Good evening, I'm writing to tell you that all US troops will return home from Iraq by the end of December. After nearly nine years, the American war in Iraq will end. Our servicemen and women will be with their families for the holidays. The war in Iraq came with tremendous cost. More than a million Americans served in Iraq, and nearly 4,500 gave their lives in service to the rest of us. Today, as always, we honor these patriots. When I came into office, I pledged to bring the war in Iraq to a responsible end. As Commander in Chief, I ended our combat mission last year and pledged to keep our commitment to remove all our troops by the end of 2011. To date, we've removed more than 100,000 troops from Iraq. This is a significant moment in our history. For more information, including video, please visit WhiteHouse.gov/BringingTroopsHome.  The end of the war in Iraq reflects a larger trend. The wars of the past decade are drawing to a close. As we have r...

Issue 2

www.weareohio.com          www.betterohio.org Both sides of Issue 2 give compelling coverage of why we should either vote No or vote Yes on Issue 2. For me I am still on the fence on which way I should vote. I personally don't really care for unions, to me they take my money and really don't do anything for me, sure my insurance was low, I received 2 raises because the contract said so, it was not based on my performance, so I could have been the worse employee and I still would have gotten a raise, for the fact it was stated in the contract. In my opinion if the Governor  wants state and city workers to pay more for health care, more for their pensions. I say this before you push the cost increase on your taxpayers, I thing all those in the Government need to take a pay cut, then actually pay for their insurance, pay for their pensions and stop relying on the taxpayers to pay for everything. Put yourself in our shoes before making such a harsh de...
